Formulate Questions from a data set

Sometimes, we start not from a problem, but from a data set. Devices, systems, websites, and other things generate data. If we start with a data set we can (normally) not influence which variables the data contains. We must therefore adapt the Questions and Concepts to the opportunities and limitation given by the data set.

Look at this data set on apps from Google Play: https://www.kaggle.com/lava18/google-play-store-apps

Make sure you understand the data set. What is the unit of observation? Which variables are included?

Think of a number of Questions which could be answered using this data set!

Now have a look at this data, containing the transactions at a bakery: https://www.kaggle.com/sulmansarwar/transactions-from-a-bakery and do the same.

Finally, find a data set that interests you, and approach it in the same way. You can find data sets online.

Write a report where you describe the data and develop your questions.
